Do you understand your close friend?

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” And call understanding your intimate friend;

Proverbs 7:4 NKJV

7_helping_hands_3 With more understanding, I gain more friends and relationships. I use to really struggle with putting God before my family. Thinking of how faithful Abraham was and his son Isaac, added to this struggle. I am learning that when God is made the foundation and is put before family, it strengthened our family. This verse is similar, in the thought that wisdom and understanding are more important than your friends. Wisdom and understanding will strengthen your friendships.

Prior to starting a Daily Proverb, my wife and I mostly met local people but now we have met hundreds, now thousands, of people all over the world. Some of these new relationships are daily or weekly and have helped us find solutions to situations that we or they were having. To say our lives has changed for the positive because of these new relationships would be an understatement. It just amazes me how so many people are needing help and how there are so many people ready to help.

Wisdom not only strengthens the relationships you have now but will create new relationships. Relationships that are Godly and filled with more love then you could ever imagine.
